Platforms that label uploads from image metadata

These guides are about the moment you attach a file. If that file still has a C2PA credential or other AI metadata, the app can store it and show a label. Clean the file first. A post that is already public is not edited from this website.

Clean on this device

JPG, PNG, and WebP are rewritten at the container level, so the pixels stay as they were. AVIF and HEIC are edited in place when the file structure allows it.

Up to 30 files · 15 MB each · JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC

Upload time is the only time the file matters

Instagram, Facebook, and Threads share a Meta pipeline: C2PA and related metadata are a common reason for an AI info label, and classifiers exist beside that. X, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube are not the same company and not the same wording. The guides do not pretend they share one settings screen. They do share one fact: the bytes you attach are the bytes they can read.

TikTok photo posts are already covered in the TikTok guide. YouTube on this directory means thumbnails, not the video. CapCut videos stay out of scope even if you open them from the CapCut page in the AI tools directory.

Cleaning is not a disclosure program. If the network or the law wants you to say an image was generated, deleting a manifest does not do that. The disclaimer is linked from the individual pages for that reason.

A sequence that works on all of them

  1. 1

Save the file the app will receive

Not a screenshot of the composer, and not a cloud placeholder.

  2. 2

    Read it

The checker shows C2PA, XMP, EXIF, and GPS.

  3. 3

    Strip once

Use the remover above or on the app’s own page. It is the same engine. JPG, PNG, and WebP pixels stay.

  4. 4

    Attach the cleaned copy

Delete an already-public post yourself if the old file should disappear. This site cannot do that.

A label after a clean upload

If the checker was empty and the app still labels the post, the cause is not metadata this tool can see. Pixel watermarks and classifiers are the usual leftovers. Cleaning a second time will not remove them.

Questions

Do all of these apps read C2PA?

Meta’s apps are the confident case. Pinterest, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube can use metadata in the file you upload, but they are not one shared switch. Each guide says what we will and will not claim.

Can I clean a post that is already live?

No. Clean a local file and upload it as a new post. Delete the old one in the app.

Which directory if the question is the generator, not the app?

Use AI tools. Start with the checker if you do not know the generator.

Does the tool upload the photo to the platform for me?

No. It only returns a cleaned file. You upload it yourself. Nothing is sent to this site.
